It is hard to believe it is the last day of May!  One month left, wow!   It is important to try to keep routines as much as possible for this last month.  All the students got new Just Right Reading books this week and I will be doing one more exchange to make sure the students have reading materials at home each night to continue to develop and strengthen the skills they have worked so hard on this year.

All the students were very excited on Tuesday morning when they came in to find all the sea creatures they had made with their big buddies up on the bulletin board.

Mind-up Day was today we rotated to five different stations.  I am bringing home a brochure that explains each one.  Please go over this with your children and have them reflect on their day and what they learned (I told them this was their homework for the weekend).  Fairview all helped raise money for the Spencer West Water Initiative to get water to those who are not as fortunate as we are!  Did you know that the average Canadian consumes 86 litres of water each day.  We were all surprised and disappointed that Canadians consume that much water.    Below are pictures of the new mural at Fairview!
