June 14th

Wow - we have had an exciting week!  The best of course was Fun Day!   Our favourite things were...
the Snowcones and Popcorn, the Balloon Target where if you hit the target you got someone wet!, the big slide, Under the Sea, Balloon Blow-up!, Wizard Castle, the Soccer Target and Jolt!

Thanks so much to the PAC for making this day possible.  We realize that we are a very lucky school to have this!  We made the PAC a special thank you today saying how we had a whale of a good time!

We also did a great job of singing at the Parent Volunteer Tea on Wednesday.  Thanks again to all of you that helped out during the year!

Today we started our Ocean Lap books with our big buddies.  We learned all the different creatures that are in a tide pool.

Hopefully everyone is busy reading and filling in their  Paper Popsicles!  Remember you can use your new Just Right Reading Books or any other books you have at home.

On Tuesday, June 18th Amanda Buchan will be here to do a special Ocean Presentation for Div. 8 and 9!  We think she will be surprised how much we have already learned.

Friday, June 21st at 12:40 is our Bowling Fieldtrip - please return your permission slips and money.  Unfortunately we did not have enough drivers so if anyone else is available to help out please let me know asap.   Thanks.

On Tuesday, June 25th in the afternoon we will have our year end celebration.  Thanks in advance to Emma for bringing a veggie tray, Makayla for the sweet treat, Kendra for chips or pretzels and Morgan for popcorn.  If any of you would rather bring a fruit tray or cheese/crackers or small sandwiches that would be fine too.  All students could bring a juice box to drink at our celebration.  Due to the fact we are having this celebration on Tuesday,  our popsicle celebration will be on Wednesday instead.   All paper popsicles however must be signed and returned by Monday, June 24th.

I will start to send home extra supplies that were not used this year.   If you could please send in a couple of plastic shopping bags so that when we start cleaning out we will have something to transport the 'stuff' home with that would be very helpful.

If anyone is able to volunteer to take home a bucket of math manipulatives that would also be greatly appreciated.  Basically all you did to do is fill a sink or bathtub with some soapy water and throw the objects in quickly wash and then lay out on a towel to dry.
