December 1/12

Wow, it's hard to believe it is already December 1st!
We have had an exciting week.  In art we made some cool "Shape Bats" that we put up on the bulletin board outside our classroom.  Our "Batty Reading" yesterday turned out great, thanks to all the parents that attended.  We hope you enjoyed it and also learned some cool bat facts.

This was Ms Morrison's last week and we will all miss having her in our class.  She taught us all about Echolocation and then we played some neat games in the gym where we had to use echolocation to find each other!  Our big buddies helped us with our Bat Lap books.  It was fun learning together all about the bat's anatomy.  Ms Rowledge-Toscani had a cool model of a bat's body.  This week we will be finishing up some unfinished BAT work but will then be moving on to our Christmas theme.

We all had lots of fun making musical instruments and wanted to thank Ms Buchan for bringing in such cool 'stuff''.  If you have any supplies (toilet paper or paper towel rolls/rice/popcorn or anything you feel could be used to make a musical instrument) that you could send in that would be helpful as they seem to be using up the supplies quickly.

Don't forget Friday is Skating.  Everyone please be sure to have your notices in by Tuesday (remember Monday is a Pro D day).  Hopefully we will have enough drivers.  Please remember to send in booster seats and also skates and helmets that day.  Thanks.  We are skating with our big buddies as well as the other Grade1/2 class and their buddies so it should be lots of fun.
