Yesterday we met our new Big Buddies. We talked to get to know one another, read and then went outside and played together. Then Division 9 headed to the forest for nature discovery. Every student had such big smiles on their faces as they stomped, slid, played and cracked the ice, squished the mud, found a cool stick or ice crystal, or even just stood on the top of top of a stump. Below are some pictures which capture their exploration and the gorgeous afternoon. Apologies for the muddy shoes, boots and clothes but if possible could you ensure your child always has their rubber boots and an extra change of clothes at school so that we can take advantage of the weather and this amazing forest area we have so close.

Thanks to Cole, Kendra and Hila's moms for volunteering for our field trip to Save-On Foods today. The students did a great job of following maps to find our way. We learned a lot about the Canada Food Guide, how much of each food group we should eat each day and how there are food we should always eat, sometimes eat and only once in awhile. For homework please look at their copy of the Canada Food Guide and discuss it with you.
Geena, Ashton and Karman completed this puzzle this afternoon. Geena had been working on it earlier in the week and then today Ashton and Karman decided to help her.
They were proud of their accomplishment!
PLEASE NOTE IF YOU HAVE NOT RETURNED YOUR CHILD'S REPORT CARD ENVELOPE PLEASE DO SO AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THANK YOU!
