(Heart, Liver, Lungs, Stomach, Large
Intestines, Small Intestines, Kidneys, Brain)
2. What can you
tell me about the heart?
(it pumps blood throughout the body; is as
big as your fist; has 4 chambers; valves open and close to help blood pump)
3. What can you
tell me about the lungs?
(2 lungs; left side is smaller than right;
take in oxygen to help us breathe)
4. What can you
tell me about the stomach?
(it is where food starts to digest; it has
juices (acid) which help break down food)
5. What can you
tell me about the liver?
(it helps clean the blood; takes out
nutrients for our bodies)
6. What can you
tell me about the kidneys?
(There are two but you can live with one;
they clean and filter blood)
7. What can you
tell me about the Intestines?
(small intestines the absorb nutrients for
the body; the large intestines gets the waste; the small intestines are about
20ft long!)
BONUS: what is the other word we use to explain the “pushing” of food
through the intestines? (Peristalsis)

(it controls movement, taste, speech,
smell, hearing and touch)
