April 26th

(Sorry for the delay - I was having technical difficulties uploading the pictures :( )

Despite a short week it was another eventful one...

Monday to celebrate Earth Day the students had fun picking up garbage (the were actually disappointed that there wasn't much garbage in the forest (our designated area) so we went further towards 203rd and they were excited to fun and find more garbage!    We also watched The Lorax (thank to Cole) in the afternoon with three other primary classes.  We also read a great book called 'Just a Dream' by Chris Van Allsberg which made up realized how important it is to take care of our environment.  Morgan was our Scientist today and he taught us about how you can defeat gravity.

Tuesday and Thursday we had Musical Theatre - the school wide presentation will be May 1st at 12:45 - the students should be practicing Hakuna Matada this weekend as well as Sea Creatures for the Poetry Recital.

Tuesday afternoon for Primary Centres we went out to the forest and had lots of fun exploring.

Wednesday we had Buddies and finished our neat flowers - these will soon be on display in the front foyer.   Nicholas demonstrated how to blow up a balloon with vinegar and baking soda.  It was really cool.

Mercer - Ms Rowledge-Toscani's dog came to visit on Thursday.  As you can tell by the photo the students loved having him and made him feel very welcome!
