April 12

On Monday we had a fun walk to Starbucks for our free hot chocolates. We were rewarded for our great reading during Club RED. We used maps again to find our way and review our mapping skills!  The teachers were pleased at how much we remembered.

Mrs. Lemire's last day was on Wednesday.  She had a celebration for us.  We had cupcakes, she made us each a special bookmark and she also made a video of her time with us.  We hope to be able to put this on the blog but still are trying to work this out.  Division 9 also gave her a special book bag.  We are all sad to see her go but she promises to come by to visit.

On Thursday after reading with our buddies we went outside to play, it was lots of fun.

We have finished our nutrition unit  and are now starting an ocean theme.  We were very excited to see all the new theme books.  Our new author is Marcus Pfister, he wrote all the Hopper books and Rainbow Fish.

Just a reminder that we will not be having sharing for the next few weeks but instead will be doing Scientist of the Day.  If you did not get the papers home please let me know,  each child has a day they will be doing a science experiment for the class.  The list is now on the Sharing section of the blog.
Ms Rowledge-Toscani did an experiment on Thursday called Penny Drop.  We learned about surface tension and were surprised how many pennies could fit in that already full glass of water.
