Due to the rain we did not go to Starbucks today for our free hot chocolate, instead we will be going on Monday. (So Cole you do get to go with us!) We will not post-pone again though so if it is raining we will just have to walk in the rain, as we want to go while Ms Lemire is still with us.
On Tuesday we had a special french presentation Les Brucherons. It was neat; a great way to learn about Canadian history and the french language.
We met our new buddies on Thursday, these will be our buddies until the end of the year.
In Math we started two new Subtraction games - Subtraction Cards (with stickers) and Take Away Bags. The students are all doing very well with these and seem to really be enjoying them.
Ms Lemire did a cool lesson on "Where does food come from?" On the powerpoint Ms Lemire had a picture of a parsnip, we were very interested and would like to go to the grocery store to actually see a real parsnip! (We may even try to stop at Save-On on our way back from Starbucks.)
The PAC has given every class at Fairview the opportunity to participate in Musical Theatre. For the next few week we will be working with Kayla to learn and perform "Hakuna Matata". There will be a school presentation on Monday, April 29th. Here is a link to the song so if you could please practice this at home that would be great. Thanks! https://wm.shaw.ca/service/home/~/Hakuna%20Matata%20(Karaoke).mp4?auth=co&loc=en_US&id=17874&part=2
